The title of our guest speaker's talk this year is “From Flower to Pot: The Journey of Honey.” Join us for a fascinating talk tracing the magical journey of honey. Rose Breslin will take us from the moment a bee visits a flower, through the hive where nectar is transformed, and on to the beekeeper’s careful work of harvesting, extracting, and potting. Along the way, you’ll discover the wonders of the honeybee, the craft of beekeeping, and how delicious Wicklow honey makes its way from blossom to your table.

Rose started her beekeeping career in 2011, almost accidentally. Joining Co Dublin BKA she is currently Chairperson to that association. Rose lectures to beginners for her local association and previously at the Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Summer School. A former teacher, she promotes beekeeping in both primary and secondary schools, giving talks to youths and adult groups.
